BRIDGWATER United's star striker Jack Taylor made his debut for a new club at the weekend.

Taylor announced last week that he would be leaving Bridgwater and had signed on for Corsham Town, a side currently playing in the Hellenic League Premier Division.

On Saturday, Taylor made his home debut for Corsham in their 1-1 draw against Hereford Pegasus.

Taylor scored well over 100 goals for the Robins in his long stint at the club but will no longer feature at Fairfax Park.

A spokesperson from Corsham Town said: "We are delighted to announce to supporters that we have managed to secure the signature of Jack Taylor who joins us from Western League side, Bridgwater United.

"Having scored over 100 goals in his time at Bridgwater, Jack is prolific goal scorer who First Team Manager, Kieran Baggs, has been a fan of for a long time and we are over the moon to be bringing him to the club.

"We would like to thank Bridgwater for their cooperation in getting this transfer complete."

The news of Taylor's transfer comes in the same week that stalwart goalkeeper, Jake Viney, left the club and former manager Dave Pearse was dismissed.
