BRIDGWATER United FC have signed another striker to bolster their attacking threat for the rest of the season.

Ben Griffith has joined the club from Frome Town and was in the matchday squad for the Robins trip to St Blazey on Saturday.

A spokesperson from the club said: "Bridgwater United are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting forward Ben Griffith from Frome Town."

In June 2023, Griffith joined Frome from newly-promoted National League South side Weston-super-Mare AFC where he progressed through the youth set-up after joining the Seagulls at the age of 12.

Striker Griffith has a wealth of senior footballing experience, developing at each of the clubs he has represented.

His spells with the likes of Cheddar and Clevedon of the Western League in 2020 were followed by three separate loans in the Southern League with Willand Rovers in recent years.

Last season, his 3 goals in 10 league appearances helped Weston secure promotion to the National League South.

From Town confirmed the departure as well: "Ben Griffith has left the club to join a Western League side. We would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future!"
