CELEBRATIONS marking the 75th anniversary of Haygrove School have been announced.
Festivities will kick off on Friday, July 13, at 3.30pm with a grand school fete, to be opened by BBC Somerset DJ and former Haygrove pupil, Emma Britton.
The event will include stalls, a raffle, family activities and teas, music and dance performances and a ‘staff vs. pupils tug of war’.
On Saturday, July 14, a Heritage afternoon will be held in the School’s hall from 2pm. It will include a slide show of previously unseen archive photographs from the school’s past.
Items loaned from the Blake Museum and private collections will also be on display.
Historian Roger Evans will describe life at the school during the 1950s and sign copies of his book, ‘Somerset Born, Somerset Bred.’
