CHARITABLE solicitors in and around Bridgwater have raised more than £2,000 in an annual fundraising campaign.
Dunn Simpson & Co, based at King Square, raised £450, Pardoes, based at West Quay House, raised £1525 and Amicus Solicitors & Advocates, based in North Petherton, raised £260 for Will Aid.
Will Aid is a charity will-making scheme where solicitors write wills for the public and ask them to donate to the campaign, instead of paying the usual fee. The cash is then distributed between seven UK charities.
Shirley Marsland, Will Aid campaign manager, said: “We are very grateful to the solicitors who worked so hard for Will Aid and to the public who responded so enthusiastically.”
Charities covered by the scheme include ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children and Sightsavers.
