STOGURSEY will welcome visitors from its French twin village, Lonlay L'Abbaye, during a weekend of free events in June to celebrate the twinning association's 25th anniversary.
The French contingent will be welcomed by the Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset Lady Gass in the village on June 24, before historical re-enactors, the Sealed Knot, set up camp on June 25 and 26 to re-enact an English Civil War skirmish.
There will also be a flower festival in the village church, depicting scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry, plus Morris Dancers, a brass band, singers, dancers and a Punch 'n' Judy show.
