YEAR seven students at East Bridgwater Community School paid a visit to William Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford for a day devoted to the playwright's life.
The students, accompanied by teachers Paul Coombes, Claire Lynch, Brigid Parker and Alison Williams, demonstrated their Shakespearean knowledge and several won insult badges, which they wore with pride.
A spokesman for the school said the students were extremely well behaved during the trip and were interested in everything they saw.
