BRIDGWATER police have praised students for their good behaviour throughout yesterday's Rag Day celebrations.
Neighbourhood Beat Sergeant Charmaine Dyne has told the Mercury the revellers avoided any trouble as they took over the town centre for much of the day.
She said: "Rag Day is a big deal for Bridgwater and it went really well and smoothly, and there were no real problems.
"There were a lot of young people and shoppers out in the town all day and there was a nice atmosphere and no complaints from the public.
"There is always the potential for trouble but we were pleased and impressed by the students' good behaviour."
