POLICE are urging Sedgemoor homeowners to be watchful after a spate of bogus callers.
An alert has been raised after a number of people reported telephone calls and visits from people pretending to be from a local council.
PC Charlie Fitzpatrick said: "I would advise people to always be wary of callers to their home, and not to give out their personal details to cold callers over the telephone. If an offer seems too good to be true, then it probably is."
