AN inquest into the deaths of Somerset victims of a French road crash in 2006 will be held today (Thursday).
Bethany Bridges, ten, and her mum, Julie-Anne, 43, died when a Jeep Cherokee 4x4 driven by Bethany’s stepfather, former Minehead police inspector Keith Bridges, 50, crashed into trees near the family’s new home in the Dordogne region of France three years ago.
Andrew Dyer 41, from Bridgwater, and his daughter Gabriella, ten, also died in the crash.
An inquest in 2007 heard Keith Bridges, who survived the crash, was almost two times over the legal drink-drive limit when the car crashed into woodland.
It was then adjourned to investigate any mechanical faults with the car.
A fresh inquest will be held in Taunton today.
