SOMERSET County Council has removed 550 redundant road signs that were cluttering up the county’s highways.
They include signs for temporary road works and speed cameras that have since been removed.
County councillor Anthony Trollope-Bellew said: “Too many signs on the road can lead to excessive ‘sign clutter’. Local residents have told us that this is confusing, and often distracts drivers.”
