A GROUP of local horse riders have successfully qualified for a prestigious national championship held in Wiltshire this weekend.
The Quantock Horse Riding Club will compete in the British Riding Clubs' National Trials Championships at Offchurch Bury Estate near Royal Leamington Spa.
The event, which runs from Friday to Sunday, August 8-10, will see the riders take part in dressage, cross country and show jumping trials.
Janine Paterson will be riding Set the Joker, Becky Hunt will compete with Ardroe Hill, DD Kingslake will ride with Master Mayhem and Lucy Driver will be riding Raff.
Lizzie Livingstone, a spokeswoman for the riding club, said: “We have a strong team this year and everyone is very confident.”
