THE public have expressed their sadness and well wishes to a Bridgwater dog sitter who is set to close her business at the end of the year.

Madeleine, who runs Mad About Dogs, has announced she will hang up the lead at the end of 2024.

In a heartfelt announcement posted to Facebook, she emphasised that this year's bookings will be unaffected by her decision to close the business.

She also thanked everyone who had used her services over the year Mad About Dogs Bridgwater had been in operation.

Posting to Facebook, Madeleine said: "Good morning all, this is a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for all the love and support over the years Mad About Dogs Bridgwater has been trading.

"I have, however, made the decision to close the diary /calendar at the end of 2024.

"It's with a heavy heart that I am saying goodbye to you all.

"I really do love every single bubba that I have had the pleasure of caring for.

"I have tried my absolute hardest to offer the service that I would appreciate receiving if I was the recipient so that you knew your pets were as loved as if it was you there with them.

"There are various reasons I can no longer offer this service and I sincerely hope you all manage to find someone who you can leave your family with so you can continue to have relaxing holidays.

"I am very sorry for all the inconvenience this will cause you but i'm trying to give you as much notice as possible.

"It has been a pleasure and will continue to be for the rest of the year.

"Thank you very much for all the support we have received, I wish you all the very best and many happy years with your bubbas."
