The Rock Choir in Somerset will stage an extra show to raise money for two local charities - after the first two sold out.

The three concerts in Bridgwater and Weston-super-Mare will generate funds for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.

According to choir leader Mike Aris, the members of Rock Choir from Weston-super-Mare, Bridgwater, Taunton, Clevedon, and Burnham-on-Sea, are committed to raising as much money as possible through Rock Choir Live.

Mr Aris said: "We are just thrilled with the public response and adding a matinee at Bridgwater will help us raise even more money for two brilliant charities."

The extra show will be a matinee (afternoon) show at the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater on April 21.

This is on top of other dates, including evening shows at the Blakehay Theatre in Weston-super-Mare on April 13 and Bridgwater's McMillan Theatre on April 21.

The show is expected to deliver popular pop and rock hits, with performances by the Base Tones vocal trio.

Tickets for the Bridgwater show are already on sale and are quickly being snapped up.
