A MAJOR section of the M5 will close as planned tonight to allow essential works to be completed.
The M5 southbound from J23 (Dunball) to J24 (Huntworth) will be closed from 10pm Monday, February 5, until 5am the following morning on Tuesday, February 6.
The carriageway will be closed to allow for crews to complete electrical works on the stretch of motorway.
Road users needing to travel south between 10pm and 5am are advised to instead use the A38 as an alternative route.
It was revealed earlier today that a new Asda Express will open just off the Dunball exit road near to the Dunball Roundabout next week.
The new branch on Old Mount Road will open on Monday, February 12, as one of 110 new Asda Express stores set to open this month.
According to the supermarket chain, Asda Express stores stock up to 3,000 branded and own-label products including essential items such as milk and bread, grabbing lunch on the go, or cooking dinner from scratch.
