ADULT students in Bridgwater have planted trees looked after by the college to help build a sustainable future.

RHS Level 2 Horticulture adult learners at Bridgwater and Taunton College have planted several trees as part of their course.

To find out more about studying Horticulture at BTC, visit the college's website.

The silver birch half standards have been grown-on by students over the past three years at the Cannington campus, being repotted as they grew, and have reached a suitable size now to be put into the ground.

While the students were at the college's Bridgwater campus. they made the most of the dry weather and also performed some general grounds and garden maintenance.

Andy Berry, Principal and CEO, lent a hand under the watchful eye of Emma Butler, Course Leader.

The project is contributing to the college’s drive to build sustainability into college activities, encourage biodiversity across the campuses and to deliver green skills.
