THE results are in from North Petherton Town Council's annual best Christmas lights competition.

If you live in and around Bridgwater and you're somehow not already feeling festive, then these pictures of some of the North Petherton area's best Christmas displays will definitely bring you some holiday cheer.

This year, the Wilstock prize went to Tiago Negrao at 5 Bellis Ave for her wonderfully cosy and traditional-looking display.

The Stockmoor prize went to Mr Bamsey and his granddaughter, with a special mention to Mr Bamsey’s son-in-law Dan Jones, who put up their spectacular wintery lights.

Mark and Sam Fitchew, and their granddaughter Rosie were crowned the North Newton winners for their vibrant and energetic entry at 1 Church Road.

Meltor House in Huntworth earned an honourable mention for the unique display from Mr S De Sena.

Matthew and Nicola Kirkby were crowned overall winners of the North Petherton Christmas Lights Competition for their undeniably festive efforts to decorate their home at 6 Broadlands Avenue.

Deputy Mayor Richard Ives thanked all the judges and everyone that has decorated their house this year for 'making the whole of the North Petherton parish a really magical place this Christmas.'

"It is lovely to see groups of parents and children out walking around enjoying looking at the beautiful displays," he added.
