THE well-received Bridgwater Food and Drink Festival is set to make a welcome return at the end of this month, on the day when Christmas festivities begin for the town.

The fourth and final festival of 2023 will span the full length of the High Street and the Town Hall on Saturday, November 25 from 10am until 7pm.

Stallholders will be selling tasty treats ranging from cakes and pies to thoughtful Christmas gifts, perfect for that special someone.

There will also be a plethora of hot street food for attendants to enjoy whilst getting into the festive spirit.

The Food and Drink Festival will be part of the annual Christmas light switch-on event, which will also see entertainment and children's rides in the Cornhill area.

For those who missed it at Bridgwater Carnival last weekend, a squibbing display will be held on the Town Bridge.

A spokesperson for Bridgwater Food and Drink Festival said: "After the amazing success of the Bridgwater Carnival, it would be great to see our town become so alive again on November 25.

"A full list of entertainment and squibbing times will be posted on the Bridgwater Food and Drink Festival Facebook page in due course.

"Please help us to spread the word by telling all friends and family to make it a fun-packed family day.
