AN annual festival celebrating all cultures found in Bridgwater is set to return to the town this weekend.

Bridgwater Together will harness music, food, storytelling, dance, film and information sharing to commemorate Bridgwater's cultural diversity.

The event is held by Somerset Diverse Communities (part of CCS), and will take place on Saturday November 11, between 10.30am - 3.30pm at Bridgwater Town Hall.

Everyone is welcome to come along and get a taste of one of the many cultures that take part in celebrating diversity through performances, presentations, dance, and art.

There will also be opportunities to share food from the representatives of minority communities living in Bridgwater.

Michal Puzynski, Manager of Somerset Diverse Communities said: “Bridgwater Together is a celebration of our diversity and a testament to the strength of our community.

"When we come together to share our cultures, we learn from each other, grow as individuals, and build a more inclusive society.”

Deb Richardson, who represents Somerset Film on the committee said: “Bridgwater Together is a really well-attended event and the committee’s intention is to continue to celebrate the diversity of backgrounds, people and experiences and to value what make us different - whether that’s disability, age, sexuality, faith, gender, ethnicity and more.

"The success of Bridgwater Together has resulted in similar events now taking place in other towns across the county.

"They want to keep celebrating and moving forward in new ways and to do so they need your ideas!”
