IT has been a quiet week for planning applications, with nine being submitted to Somerset Council for the former Sedgemoor District Council area. 

The applications, which are awaiting a decision from the unitary authority, include separate requests to erect agricultural buildings in Chedzoy, Weare and Wedmore. 

A retrospective application has also been submitted in relation to a new shopfront at Scoops, a convenience store located at 77 St John Street, Bridgwater. 

A planning statement says: “The new shopfront will provide much improved sound and insulation values along with enhancing the visual appearance of the existing shop.”
