BRIDGWATER Arts Centre will host a night of live folk music in tribute to "one of the greatest English songwriters of the twentieth century".
Jake Thackray was a songwriter and guitarist who rose to fame in the 60s and 70s, making regular appearances on popular TV programmes Braden’s Week and That’s Life.
He sadly passed away in 2002, but his music lives on through tribute act John Watterson, aka "Fake Thackray".
John will be performing some of Jake Thackray's greatest hits for the "Beware of the Bull" evening at Bridgwater Arts Centre on October 21 from 8pm.
A spokesperson for the arts centre said: "A great evening’s entertainment whether you are a hardcore Thackray fan or coming afresh to his magnificent songs."
Tickets are available to purchase for £12 per person on the Bridgwater Arts Centre website.
