BRIDGWATER United have confirmed another signing ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 Western League season.

The club has acquired the services of experienced defender Jason Quick.

He has made the move to Bridgwater United after an extended period of time at league rivals Wellington AFC.

It is another signing for Bridgwater that brings plenty of experience in the Western League and looks a good fit for the club.

A spokesperson from Bridgwater United said: "We are delighted to announce the signing of versatile defender Jason Quick following many impressive performances during preseason."

Defender Jason won the players’ player and supporters’ player awards last season at Wellington AFC, further highlighting his talent.

It is somewhat of a coup for Bridgwater, being able to pick up a key player from one of their rivals.

Quick was straight into action for the Robins after he made the move official, in their friendly match against Highgate United.

The team are back in action on Tuesday night for their penultimate game of the 23/24 pre-season.

Bideford AFC makes the trip to Fairfax Park for a 7.30 kick off.
