RNLI's team at Weston-super-Mare helped a windsurfer in trouble yesterday (June 5).
The windsurfer was in trouble near Brean Down, and quick work from the lifeboats crew managed to save the person from any serious trouble.
A spokesperson said: "At 6:44 pm yesterday we were tasked by the Coastguard to assist a windsurfer in trouble near Brean Down.
"With tides in our favour and sufficient crew, both charity lifeboats were launched.
"People on the busy promenade and using the slipway helped by giving us enough room to manoeuvre both boats and their respective launch vehicles into the water.
"The lifeboats made speed and reached the windsurfer in good time. Thankfully, the issue was that the wind had gone, effectively stranding the windsurfer in the Bristol channel.
"The crew took the windsurfer aboard and transported him and his board to safety on shore.
"The boats were then recovered and made ready for service 45 minutes after receiving the initial shout.
"If you see anyone in trouble in the water, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
