A NORTH Petherton barbershop, called Terrie's Barbershop Treatment, has been named as finalist in UK Hair & Beauty Awards.
The barber shop opened last year in North Petherton, near Bridgwater, owned by a woman who grew up in the town and has moved back with her family.
The parlour will be awarded a certificate of recognition for Barber of the Year, earning the title Finalist in the UK Hair & Beauty awards.
The owner, Terrie Riddle, said: "I will be competing against other barbers all over the UK. I will be attending the red carpet event in Birmingham at the end of the month."
The owner previously owned Barber Jacks in Burnham-on-Sea, which she sold to run her business independently and moved back to North Petherton. She ran Barber Jacks for around 10 years and has 17 years’ experience in the industry.
