A BRAND-NEW eight-lane bowling and leisure complex has officially opened at Northgate Yard in Bridgwater

Allstars Sports Bowl is the second outlet to open at the town's new entertainment hub after the seven-screen Scott Cinemas venue opened in October.

Nando's and La Kasia Tapas & Cocktail will both launch at the site later this year.

The new complex features eight bowling lanes, a karaoke room, smart darts, shuffleboards and pool tables, as well as large TV screens showing all the latest sporting action.

The Allstars Sports Bowl leisure complex is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Pete and Sally Wallington, who last summer opened their first bowling alley in Weston-super-Mare.

Pete Wallington, managing director of Allstars, said: “The time has finally arrived, and we are officially open in Bridgwater.

“The whole Allstars team and I are very excited to start welcoming people through the door of our Northgate Yard venue.

“We’ve got activities and packages to suit all kinds of groups and our stylish industrial decor and mouth-watering food menu will bring the bowling experience into the 21st century.

“We want to thank every member of the team for working so incredibly hard. Please bear with us in our first couple of weeks as we get everything running like a well-oiled machine.

“We hope Bridgwater locals and visitors alike, find as much joy in the alley as we have had in building it for you.”

Cllr Alan Bradford, Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council, said: “We are delighted to see the opening of Allstars Sports Bowl this week. It’s another fantastic addition to the Northgate Yard development, offering locals and visitors to Bridgwater outstanding leisure activities.

“We wish the new Allstars team well as they begin to welcome people through the doors this week.”
