BRIDGWATER residents will get the chance to hear more about work being done to create safer spaces for women and girls at a multi-agency event this month.
The neighbourhood policing team will hold the event with its partner agencies - incuding Sedgemoor District Council - between 6pm and 10pm on Friday, March 31.
The event will be held on a MAVIS (Multi-Agency Vehicle In Service) bus, which will be parked at The Cornhill in the town centre.
A Sedgemoor and Hinkley Point Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: “Join your neighbourhood policing team on the MAVIS community bus where you can hear about the work we're doing both locally and nationally to create safer spaces for women and girls.
“Pop in to talk to our officers and partner agencies who will be on-hand to offer advice and support.
“We'd like to hear about any concerns or places in the local area where you don't feel safe - your information will help inform the priorities of police and community safety partners in making our streets safer for all. We look forward to seeing you there.”
