A SPECTATOR at the Guy Fawkes Bridgwater Carnival is trying to track down a Good Samaritan who helped out when she suddenly fell ill.

Rosie Coad is keen to trace the man to thank him for the care he showed towards her at the event on Saturday, November 5.

Mrs Coad, from Clevedon, had been enjoying the fun with her husband near the Mercure Hotel when she became unwell.

She said: "A very kind man who I had been talking to - we were filming the amazing procession - alerted a marshal.

"I have since been looking at my videos and this caring person appears in one of them.

"I know he was very concerned since he stayed close to my husband and me until the police took over the situation.

"Due to the state I was in at the time, I was unable to thank him before I was taken by St John Ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital."

Mrs Coad said she was given great care and attention at the Taunton hospital, where she remained until the following day.

She added: "I emailed the hospital on my return home, with my thanks.

"I am so grateful to my Samaritan, and if there’s any way my thanks could reach him, I would be really pleased."
