BRIDGWATER will celebrate Christmas with its annual Snowflakes and Shopping event on Saturday, November 26, the town council has confirmed.

The town's Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm and there will be a squibbing display at 6.30pm.

Events will start from 10am with stalls, fairground rides, fireworks and a visit from Father Christmas.

A spokesperson for Bridgwater Town Council said: “From 10am on Saturday, November 26, Bridgwater town centre will be celebrating Christmas 2022 with stalls offering unique Christmas gifts, sumptuous foods and craft beverages.

“There will be fairground rides, fireworks and a certain jolly man will be making an appearance to make the little ones smile! Come along and support local businesses.”

The town council has also announced that it will host a free-to-enter Christmas fayre on Saturday, December 10.
