AN injunction has been issued to protect a Homes in Sedgemoor customer from abuse and coercive behaviour, the housing provider has said.

One person has been banned from visiting the customer in their home.

The injunction comes after Homes in Sedgemoor received reports and complaints from neighbours about noise complaints and anti-social behaviour.

The housing provider was also alerted to concerns that the resident was being taken advantage of by a third party. 

Homes in Sedgemoor applied for an injunction after discussions with Avon and Somerset Police. 

The injunction was designed to protect the resident and stop the individual under investigation from causing further problems.

The person named in the injunction must not enter the customer's block of flats for safeguarding reasons. 

The injunction will last for 12 months and, if any issues occur in the meantime, Homes in Sedgemoor will with work the police and refer the matter back to court.

A Homes in Sedgemoor spokesperson said: “The team take all reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and we will continue to take proactive action to prevent harm to and provide safety to our residents and communities.”
