BAWDRIP celebrated this year's harvest with a special church service and a ‘bring and share’ lunch in the parish hall on Sunday, October 2.
The celebration service began with hymns and readings with a seasonal focus at St Michaels and All Angels Church in the centre of the village from 11.30am.
This was followed by a harvest ploughman's lunch in the parish hall at 1pm, with everyone welcome to share the community spirit.
Guests were encouraged to bring their own drinks and glasses, plus food to share, to celebrate the harvest season.
Donations for Bridgwater Food Bank were gratefully received by the organisers.
The food bank has fed around 30,000 in the Bridgwater area since it opened in 2013, including around 11,600 children.
Upcoming events in the village include Marty's Mostly 60s Show (October 21), a Community Café (October 22), and the annual village quiz (October 28).
