ONE of Bristol's finest singer songwriters will be treating audiences to her desolate tones at Bar 27 on Sunday, April 13.

Jane Taylor, who has opened for Jools Holland and graced the Glastonbury festival, has been busy touring Europe in 2008 and will be showcasing songs from her album Montpellier.

She has worked with a variety of artists including the melodic Angelo Bruschini, guitarist from hugely popular trip-hop act Massive Attack.

The copious amount of talent Jane possesses has lead her to record a song for American television show Dawson's Creek and win the International Song Writing Competition with her song Blowing This Candle Out.

She will be supported by frantic Bridgwater Celtic folk band Jankie Fardal.

Jankie Fardal were formed in 2006 and have supported acts such as 3 Daft Monkeys, Mick Hanly and Julie Fowlis.

Bar 27's laid-back, comfortable atmosphere means that it is the perfect venue for Jane's harmonious voice and Jankie's toe-tapping folk.
