WITH the terrible weather the country is currently experiencing, it seems like the perfect time for a school production of Noah's Ark.

Dress rehearsals for St John and St Francis' Theatre Club production of the popular religious story have been going extremely well in preparation for the evening performances today and tomorrow (Tuesday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 12).

The dedicated performers, from years three to six, created their own costumes through after school art clubs.

Sandra Pidoux of St John and St Francis School said: "Everyone is really looking forward to it, from the children to their parents.

"It will be a big event for everyone involved. We expect around 200 guests will attend the performance over the two nights and special thanks has to go to head of the production Gillian Isted.

"We will be holding a raffle on both nights and the money raised through tickets will go towards the funding for the construction of new classrooms and after school activity clubs."

"Everyone has worked very hard and we are confident everyone will enjoy our production of Noah's Ark."
