PUT on your dancing shoes, dig out your finest disco outfit and prepare yourself for the return of one of the most convincing tribute acts in the UK.

Scissor Sisterz, who have been considered by many as the ultimate Scissor Sisters tribute act, will be performing at the Palace Nightclub on Thursday, March 20.

The act last performed at the venue in December 2006 and earned rave reviews from those who attended.

Superbly covering hits such as I Don't Feel Like Dancing, Laura and Comfortably Numb, the five-piece are certain to wow the audience with their expert playing ability and uncanny likeness of the original line-up, who have sold millions of copies of their self-titled debut album and their second album Ta-Da worldwide.

Bridgwater-born Charlotte Marsden performs as Ana Matronic, the feisty female member of the group. Charlotte is a talented vocalist and performer having trained at the Italia Conti theatre arts training school.

She took time out from her hectic schedule to talk to the Mercury and is "really looking forward" to the upcoming performance.

She said: "The last time we performed at the Palace was fabulous. It was just after Christmas and everyone was still in the festive mood.

"We put on a fantastic show and it was really nice to see people I knew from the past.

"It's always special to play in the town you grew up in considering we tour around the country all year."

The Scissor Sisterz have performed with an array of established acts such as Chico, Journey South and even supported McFly to an audience of 27,000 people.

Charlotte added: "It was really surreal to be supporting McFly. They are lovely guys and took time out to talk to us before the concert. They are really down to earth.

"It was a great experience to see how they perform and interact with the audience. We try to take as much on board as possible."

The act have been rehearsing a new song for the Bridgwater performance but Charlotte admits that it's difficult for the band to rehearse as much as they'd like.

She said: "We are all spread around the country. I am based here in Bridgwater, our Jake Shears is in Exmouth and our drummer is in Leeds. We just rely on our gigs around the country to help us refine our performance."

When asked what the Palace audience can expect from the Scissor Sisterz, Charlotte enthusiastically responded: "An electrifying night of show stopping music from extremely talented musicians and fantastic dancers.

"It will really be an overwhelming spectacle of a show."
