PROMISING Haygrove School trampolinists were treated to a coaching session from World Under-19 Trampolining Champion and ex-pupil Laura Gallagher.
Returning to the school with her coach Polly Osmond, Laura commenced the four-hour session with a floor-based warm-up used by the Great Britain Trampoline Squad and continued on to the trampoline encouraging all pupils to improve their basic shapes, tuck, pike and straights in the air.
As the morning progressed, each pupil was given individual coaching and had the unique opportunity to view their performances using video and computer technology.
The aim of the class was to improve individual moves and routines. Te session ended with a competition and provided the less experienced and younger pupils the opportunity to see how competitions are organised.
