Farmland Birds: AN illustrated talk on farmland birds by Eve Tigwell took place in the village hall on Wednesday March 5, organised by the Somerset Wild Life Trust.
The pictures were beautiful and made even more interesting as Eve talked about each of the birds characteristics and whether the numbers were on the decline or not.
Tea and biscuits were served in the interval.
Green fair: A well attended green fair was held in the sports hall of Shapwick and Edington School on March 1 with many and varied stalls.
The aim was to make people aware that saving the planet is essential, saving energy, recycling waste etc.
