PETROLHEADS enjoyed looking at over 500 classic and vintage cars at a two-day show held in Bridgwater at the weekend.

The Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Vehicle Show was held at Morganians Rugby Club, Chedzoy Lane, on August 13 and August 14 between 10am and 4.30pm.

The event was held by the Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Club and featured vehicles ranging from muscle cars and Minis to a fully functioning steam engine.

A World War II Supermarine Spitfire also roared overhead on Saturday.

Before the event took place, the club's website said: “Come and see a whole range of vehicles from Mustangs to Minis, motorcycles to commercials, right up to a fully functioning steam engine!”

There were also trade and craft stalls, face painting and bouncy castles for children to enjoy, and live music from a local band, Monopole.

A children's entertainer, Professor James Gordon, attended on both days.

On-site catering and a well-stocked bar” were also provided.

The show cost £5 for over 16s to enter. Children under 16 could enter for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
