AN investigation into the cause of an incident that took place at Hinkley Point C is ongoing, a spokesperson said.
Workers were evacuated On Monday, July 18 at around 8.48pm after a scaffolding fire on the construction site near Unit 1.
An investigation was launched into the cause of the incident and a spokesperson for Hinkley Point C confirmed is still ongoing.
Hinkley Point C confirmed “workers were evacuated” and “there were no reports of injuries”.
After the incident, a spokesperson also said: “Fire crews from Hinkley Point C and DSFireUpdates have attended a scaffolding fire on the construction site near Unit 1.
“Workers were evacuated from the area and there are no reports of injuries at this time.
“We will provide more details when they become available.”
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service crews also attended the incident and sent special appliances.
