PEOPLE in the Bridgwater area will this week be able to learn more about smart home technology and get tips on saving money on energy bills.

The Google Bus is arriving at Toolstation for two days of Helpful Home workshops on Wednesday and Thursday (July 13 and 14).

Demonstrations will take place every 20 minutes between 9am and 4pm and can accommodate 10 people per session. These can be booked on the day.

The workshops will include:

  • access to the entire Google Nest range, including trialling the products on the Google Bus;
  • goodie bags for every attendee including a notepad, pen and canvas tote;
  • free food and drink throughout the day, including a donut wall;
  • the chance to win a Google Nest Hub and Doorbell.

The Google Bus will help members of the local community learn how to save money on their energy bills, as the cost of living continues to spiral.

The range includes several smart gadgets including a thermostat, display hub and interactive speaker, all of which can help you measure your energy usage, and monitor usage while away from the home.

The Google Nest range also offers several smart security systems including outdoor and indoor cameras and video doorbells, perfect for household owners who are looking to go on holiday over the summer period.

Simon Oram, category manager for HVAC, smart technology and consumer electricals at Toolstation said: “The arrival of the Google Bus in Bridgwater will be a fantastic opportunity for both our colleagues and local customers to learn more about a product range that is becoming increasingly important.

"Smart home accessories provide helpful solutions to energy saving and can monitor electricity usage and household security.

"We can’t wait to welcome the local community to visit the bus and experience it for themselves.”

Members of the local Bridgwater community who want to drop by and visit the Google Bus will find it located at 2 Express Park, Bristol Rd, Bridgwater TA6 4RN.
