THE Bridgwater’s Platinum Jubilee Cart has joined the pageant parade in London to mark the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

The parade was held in front of Buckingham Palace and here is a short video posted on Twitter by the Bridgwater Carnival account showing their Jubilee cart.

The cart arrived in London on Friday, June 3 to form part of this weekend's celebrations marking 70 years since the Queen's accession to the throne.

A total of 17 carnival clubs have worked together on the 100-ft long cart, which was designed to reflect regal elements of the monarchy.

A display of the cart in Bridgwater town centre is planned for Sunday, June 12 to allow the public to have a look at the carnivalites' achievement.
