AN 11-YEAR-OLD had his hair cut for the first time in two years to help kids with cancer.
Oliver Gingell, from Bridgwater, cut his hair off on Easter Monday and donated it to the Little Princess Trust, so they can make wigs for kids fighting cancer.
He has also been raising funds to help another charity, CLIC Sargent Cancer Care for Children.
His initial target was £250, but so far he has raised £440.
Ollie is helping two charities
Kat Gingell, Oliver’s mum, said she was “super proud” when he decided to help the charities.
She said: “I lost my brother when I was younger, he had Leukemia. So as a family we always raise money. Ollie just thought, ‘if I grow my hair something good might come out of it.
“I was super proud of him it was a lovely thing to do. He wanted to give something back and it was a lovely thing to do at that age.
“We will be happy to keep everything up to get as much as we can.”
Idris Can, SeventyTwo Mobile Barber, also helped Oliver, by cutting his hair for free.
