FIREFIGHTERS from Taunton gave first aid to four people involved in an accident involving two vehicles near Bridgwater last night. 

Taunton Fire Station today shared four photographs from the scene of the accident, which took place in Courtway, on social media. 

Police officers were called to the scene of the collision in Courtway at around 7:30pm, and they closed the road until both vehicles had been cleared. 

The officers resumed patrols at around 10:35pm.

A spokesperson for Taunton Fire Station said: "Last night, on-call firefighters from Taunton attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision near Courtway, near Buncombe Hill.

"Crews rendered first aid to four casualties who were later taken to hospital.

"Both vehicles were made safe and the road remained closed by the police until both cars were recovered." 

The four casualities were not transported to hospital in an ambulance.
