SEDGEMOOR District Council is holding a Recruitment Fair in
town centre aimed at helping residents find jobs, advice or careers that are right for them.
The employment and skills team are collaborating with Angel Place Shopping Centre to host the event in the heart of the town centre.
The fair will be located within Angel Place Shopping Centre on Wednesday, March 30, from 10.00 to 14.00. It is free to attend and there is no need to book.
Among those showcasing their employment opportunities are Holiday Resort Unity, Refresco, Avon, Morrison’s, YMCA Dulverton Group and Somerset Skills and Learning.
More than 500 job and apprenticeship opportunities will be promoted at the Fair as well as support available from business start-up, training organisations and our own team Under Construction.
A spokesperson for Sedgemoor District Council said: “We are aware of recruitment struggles for a lot of organisations, now that Covid restrictions have eased we are keen to support with a local event. Locating the event within Angel Place Shopping Centre creates an opportunity to welcome people back into our town centre.”
