TRAIN services were delayed this morning (March 4) near Bridgwater following a trespassing incident on Dunball Level Crossing.

National Rail tweeted about the incident to say there were disruptions between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton.

In another tweet, the company then said “lines have reopened following an earlier trespass incident” and added services were going to be “delayed by up to 30 minutes”.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “I can confirm that the driver of the Penzance – Cardiff Central service brought his train to a stop as there was a trespasser on Dunball Level Crossing.

“Police attended to remove the person just after 11am and normal working resumed at 11.18. No one was injured during this incident.”
