IF you have been putting off making a Will - here's your chance.

St Margaret's Hospice are giving Somerset residents the chance to make or update your Will for free during Make a Will Month this March.

To take part, residents will need to find a solicitor near them on the St Margaret's Hospice website and contact them between March 1 and 31 to make an appointment.

You will be able to make a basic or mirror Will for free and this can be done with either a local solicitor or via the new online Will writing service, Kwil.

Lem Cottrell, grants and major gifts manager at St Margaret’s Hospice, said: “We are so grateful to our local partner solicitors and our new online Will writing partner, Kwil, for supporting this campaign and giving our supporters the opportunity to make or update their Wills for free.

"We hope that this offer will help many of our supporters who want to prepare for the future to note down their wishes for their legacy.

“We receive a large amount of our income each year as a result of gifts left by supporters in their Wills, and we are always very grateful for people’s generosity.

"We know that people want to look after their loved ones first, but many people also choose to leave us a gift in their Will by taking part in Make a Will Month.

“If you do decide to support St Margaret’s in this way, on behalf of our patients, their families and carers, our staff, and volunteers - thank you so much.

"Your gift makes a huge difference to the thousands of people facing a life limiting illness in Somerset we care for each year.”

At St Margaret’s Hospice Care, one in three patients are cared for thanks to gifts left in Wills.

Appointments with solicitors are limited, so contact them as early as possible.

The following solicitors are participating in Make a Will Month: Battens - Castle Cary, Berensens - Chard, Chubb Bulleid - Street, Wells and Somerton, Holley and Steer - Burnham-on-Sea, QualitySolicitors Gould and Swayne - Glastonbury and Street and Routh Clarke - Yeovil.
