ENMORE Park Golf Club Ladies’ Committee held their annual Annual General Meeting recently when Jackie Woodman was elected as this year’s Lady Captain.

Jackie has been a member of Enmore Park Golf Club for seven years and over that time has been a keen golfer and active member of the Ladies’ Committee.

The newly appointed Lady Captain said: “I am immensely proud not only to be a member of the Ladies Section at Enmore Park Golf Club but to be elected as their Lady Captain for 2022. This is a fantastic time to take on this prestigious role, and I am really looking forward to leading our Ladies Section to continued success supported by a great committee and enthusiastic members.

She added: “I am also excited about my Charity for this year which will be PAPYRUS which is dedicated in raising the awareness in Young People around the Prevention of Suicide.

After a break of six years Enmore Park Golf Club held the Lady Captain’s Drive In Competition, when despite the very windy conditions 40 lady members took part, led by Jackie Woodman the 2022 Lady Captain. Players were able to support Jackie’s chosen charity, PAPYRUS, by guessing the length of Jackie’s first drive as she started the competition!

The winner of the Lady Captain’s Drive in was Henrietta Hayden who plays off a handicap of 29 whe scored 27 points, Jennifer Hwkins (36) was second with 25, Christine Hannam (28) was third with 25 and Beverley Broad fourth (10) on 23.

Last Sunday’s Stableford was won by Dan Foy (27) with 32 points, but only following count back that edged him in front of Lee Graham(19) who returned with the same score, Shane Owen (22) was third with 32 points.
