SEDGEMOOR District Council have partnered with a local community-based organisation to provide a modern-day youth hub service for people aged 18 to 24.

The project, run with Somerset Business Agency (SBA), is known as ‘The Hub’ and is both a digital platform and face-to-face advisory service for young people in the district to access information, advice, and guidance on employment, careers, and skills.

The aim is to help young people build confidence, make connections, access support, and learn about themselves, their interests, and how to prepare for the future.

The Hub will also provide 1-1 advice, employability skills workshops, and access to work opportunities.

Aisha Elliott, SBA CIC project lead, added: "We see this as an opportunity for young people in Sedgemoor to get hands-on support and experience to achieve their goals. It's a chance for us to work closely with industry links and community partners in a dedicated, collaborative effort."
