OVER the last few weeks primary drainage works has been undertaken on the course that has gone very well despite extreme downpours during the process, writes Richard Walsh.

Seven greens have been completed, the 10th and the 18th being the last two and there will be more work carried out with the aim of providing the members with main greens to play on all year round.

In competition news, the Enmore Park Ladies Cha Cha 9 Holes competition on Wednesday attracted 59 entries, at the end of which the winners were Christine Hannam, who plays off a handicap of 14, Emma Saunders (26) and Kate Gibbins (31, with score of 43).

Joan Dovey, Ruth MacLennan and Susan Hockley were second but only following count back edged them ahead of Mo Veale Sue Hales and Alison Greenslade and Shanni Whisler, Kay Taylor and Linda Moore who also returned with the same score.

Sunday’s Pro Shop Stableford attracted 50 entries at the end of which two players returned with 38 points, but following count back it was Darren Cross who ended first closely followed by Andrew Holcombe.

Two players scored 37 points but after count back it was Mike Burns who was third just ahead of John Alderton.
