BRIDGWATER United are gearing up for an action packed weekend of football with a double header of home games at Fairfax Park.

On Saturday the men's team take on Bashley in the Third Round Proper of the FA Vase, kick off for that game is 3pm.

On Sunday the women take on Crystal Palace in the Third Round Proper of the Women's FA Cup, kick off for that game is 1pm.

Dave Pearse, manager of the men's team said it is going to be a great weekend of football for the club.

"Everyone is looking forward to it, and we obviously would like to win to entertain the home fans.

"Our fans are great, we will stick to our gameplan on Saturday and hopefully get the win for them."

In recent weeks the club has seen some impressive attendance figures and it has become clear that the fans really do help the results on the pitch.

The women's team are expecting a tough match against a Crystal Palace side who are in the division above them.

However if there is a team that can compete with them it is the Bridgwater women, as they have proven in recent games, they can mount a challenge in every game they play.

For fans who are interested in going, tickets can be bought at the turnstiles which open an hour before kick off.
