A NEW hair loss clinic opened in Burnham-on-Sea last month.
Chloe Howe SMP opened above Lowe's Barber Shop on the High Street in October.
Owner, Chloe, has lived in Burnham-on-Sea her whole life and saw the hair loss clinic as a 'great opportunity' to bring something new to the area.
Chloe offers a service called scalp micropigmentation, which is cosmetic tattooing to to help men and women with hair loss.
"It's fast becoming a popular hair loss solution as results are instant, long-lasting, and low maintenance," she said.
"There is no downtime as the treatment is non-invasive and non-surgical.
"Scalp micropigmentation is suitable for anyone experiencing male or female pattern baldness, thinning hair, alopecia, or in need of scar camouflage from hair transplants.
"The treatment works by implanting pigment into the upper dermal layer of the scalp, creating the illusion of new hair growth by replicating individual hair follicles.
"Each impression of pigment follows the client's natural hair-growth pattern for the most natural-looking results.
"Once complete, SMP creates the look of a short buzz cut for those who are receding or bald, or the appearance of full hair density and a full parting for those who are thinning."
Over the past few years, Chloe has offered art commissions of family and pet portraits. She decided to train in scalp micropigmentation, as it allows her to use her artistic skills in a 'positive way' to help people regain confidence.
She completed her training to Level Four with Finishing Touches Group.
"I am passionate about being able to use my art in a positive way to help people regain their confidence," added Chloe.
"I've already been able to help a huge variety of people including men and women of all ages with varying types of hair loss.
"It gives me a huge amount of satisfaction being able to help people with what can be a very traumatic thing to go through.
"I do plan to further my training and offer more hair loss solutions in the future.
"I would also love to continue on my micropigmentation journey and potentially train as a medical tattoo artist."
To celebrate her opening, Chloe is offering 50 per cent off all procedures until the end of the year.
