BRIDGWATER Cricket Club has announced Dan Williams as a new signing for the 2022 season.

Williams has joined from the West of England Premier One winning side Clevedon Cricket Club.

In 2021 Williams took the most wickets in the league with an impressive 31 wickets in 18 matches.

When Bridgwater played Clevedon in June this year Williams actually took three wickets, clearly impressing the Bridgwater coaches.

In a statement the club said "we are really pleased to be able to welcome Dan Williams to the club for the 2022 season."

Dan is expected to fit right in at the club as knows a lot of the players already.

Bridgwater is looking to build a title challenging team for 2022 and they already have a superstar of their own in Alex Eckland.

He won the League Player of the Year award for 2021 after he scored a total of 499 runs, took 20 catches and stumped two batsmen.
