ALICE Griffiths has departed Bridgwater United this week in a transfer move to Southamptoon FC Ladies.

She signed for Bridgwater during the summer and has played a big part in taking the side to third in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division.

In the league so far this season, Alice, 20, has made 11 appearances and has scored three goals from her defensive midfield position.

Ironically, Southampton play in the same division as Bridgwater and the two sides are due to face eachother tomorrow, Sunday October 31.

The match is a home game for Bridgwater so if Alice lines up she will have to face her old teammates in the same week she was training with them.

Speaking on social media, Alice said she really enjoyed her time at Bridgwater.

"My time at Bridgy is done; a big thank you to the coaches and players at the club."

Griffiths has represented Wales at a senior level since 2017, making six caps to date after notching.
